Shiro, the Japanese word for “castle,” was selected for its imagery and desire to provide exceptional food and service. We follow the tradition of “true” Japanese hibachi steak houses, a concept that introduced America to the cooking art form known as teppanyaki.

Carle Place Jobs
Shiro of Japan is always looking for career-oriented Hibachi Chefs who can combine cooking talent with a great personality/sense of humor and fun and bring that to our family friendly, upscale hibachi restaurant concept. Our small teams of Hibachi Chefs are always looking for a few great team players.
Dishwashers, Line Cooks and other Back of the House Positions
Our restaurants are currently hiring Dishwashers, Line Cooks and other Back of the House positions for both restaurant locations. Serious inquiries only for these food service careers. Previous restaurant experience is a plus.
Shiro of Japan has positions open in our Corporate Catering division.
Employees of the Corporate Catering division will be taught to roll sushi off-site at some of the many corporate cafeterias in which we serve throughout Long Island and New York City.
We are looking for candidates who have a clean driver’s license, a great work ethic and a team-player mentality to work in our corporate catering division.
The hours are Monday – Friday, 6 a.m. – 3 p.m. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
