Enjoy Delicious, Healthy and Nourishing, Udon and Soba Dishes Only at Shiro of Japan
Udon, is a wheat flour noodle that is also served chilled in the summer and hot in the winter. Toppings are chosen to reflect the seasons and to balance with other ingredients.
Soba, is the Japanese word for buckwheat, the plant from which the noodle is made. The noodle is thin, rich in vitamins and minerals and it is commonly served drained and chilled in the summer, and hot in the winter with soy-based broth. Extra toppings are added to reflect the season and balance of other ingredients.
Delicious Udon or Soba Choices Include:
- Zaru - Plain cold noodle topped with shredded nori seaweed: $6.95
- Kake - Hot noodle in broth topped with thinly sliced scallion and kamaboko fish cake: $6.95
- Kitsune - Noodle topped with abura-aged (seasoned thin deep fried bean curd): $8.95
